Consular Processing
Consular Processing: Your Pathway to a Green Card from Abroad

Consular processing is the official process for individuals applying for a green card while living outside the United States. This process requires working with the U.S. Department of State and attending an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate. At IBP Immigration Law, we provide expert guidance to ensure a smooth and efficient transition to lawful permanent residency.
Consular processing is the method through which eligible individuals apply for an immigrant visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate in their home country. Once the visa is approved, the applicant can enter the United States as a lawful permanent resident (green card holder).
